Snacking Like A Boss
In the idyllic setting of a permaculture festival in the Spanish mountains, we ran a workshop on healthy snacking. We focused on snacks that we could pick up on the run - from processed snacks such as kale chips, veg crisps and cereal bars, to quick and easy whole foods like carrots and walnuts - and answered three main questions:
- Q: What is a healthy snack?
- Q: Why are we snacking?
- Q: Do we really need to snack at all?
Supermarket vs Kitchen
We ran a healthy fun session with the co-workers at Transforma in Barcelona on the differences between shop-bought and home-made foods.
Everything was prepared and ready to hit 'blend' and create three delicious foods we often buy at the shops: hummus, soup, and pesto.
We compared the homemade versions with the ones from a shop, looking at colour, taste, nutritional contents, and price. Check out the gallery below to see the colour difference for yourself!
